Hello

I am back from a rather pleasant break, and boy did I need it.

I was crawling up the walls, not only did I feel like I was a prisoner to my own body, but also to my own home.

Going way helped to put things in perspective, and I was able to enjoy my friends' garden, and the sunshine.

I have come back with a pink nose, and lots of freckles!

My learning week.

Hello

For the past week, I have been on holiday, it has been an educational experience.

I have been learning more about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, through literature I received from the ME Association,
it has been very informative, and I would recommend anyone to get their literature, from their site.

I am continuing with the cocoa experiment, and it continues to work, I think you can say, it has been a success. I now have it as part of my daily routine.

Today I received the following on google alerts, it made me realize how lucky I am. I am housebound, but this person is bedbound. Each bad ME day I have, I try to think that although I may be feeling trash, there will always be someone who is worse off than me.

Hello

I have to say, that I did have brain problems this week. I still continue to have a clear thinking mind, but the connectors definitely were not working some days.

What was the cause?

I spent longer than I should with some friends, I could feel the battery running out as it were, but these friends can talk! So I listened, and they were worth listening to, however, the end result was that I spent two days in bed recovering!

How long was I with them?

Under an hour, and it was very nice. I look forward to the day, when I can spend hours with them, without it affecting me at all.

Last week I ordered some information re managing the illness ME from the ME Association, I am friendly with Tony who is part of it, and he suggested I check out the literature that they have to offer. Now knowing that I enjoy learning, I thought it wouldn't do any harm, and might do me a lot of good. I now have the information, and am looking forward to a good read.
