The face of ME?

Hello

This week, I have been asked by Afme if I would, among others, be happy to be the face of ME, for ME Awareness month, in May of this year.

I said yes of course. I am already in the local rag on a regular basis, now I may be going national! All I have to do, is be willing to have my photo on their literature, and that's it. We already have an excellent relationship, and it continues to grow. We wait and see.

I have also been offered the opportunity of going to a special celebration evening, by World Vision, to say thank you for, sponsoring a child for the last 19 years, I didn't realise I had been doing it for so long! How much does it cost? A mere £10.00 a month! and with that money, the whole community is now self sufficient, very touching. Will I go, probably not, but nice to be invited.

What a week!

Hello

I have had a good week, this week, I have been taking a new medication, which is meant to help people like me, and it is! It is cod liver oil in orange juice, cod liver oil on its own is horrid, this isn't, I also managed to walk a few more steps this week, which was encouraging.

This weekend, the government launched its NHS Constitution for this year. I have emailed the PM, to ask where ME fits into this.

I also listened to the webchat - laying down, the transcript is here.

Webchat on community and disability

Hello

There is to be a webchat on the government and how they are spending money to help the community at 2pm today.

I have already put my question in, re putting money in to help people who have ME.

Its' been a mixed week.

Hello

I started the week on a high, I managed to get to my old Church, which is just down the road, I spent 5 minutes there, and it was really good, as the Church is rather funky, although I did have to introduce myself to some folks, as they did not recognise me!

I came back exhausted, but very happy. I then spent the rest of the week in bed, exhausted and in pain, as a result of my trip out, and was asking the Lord, why I am so cursed with such a trash body.

However, the good points, I had an email from a member of the ME group, to tell me I was in the paper again, I must say the piece is very good, you can read it above, I rang and thanked the person who wrote it.

Then on Friday, I was really narked again, because of the suffering I have gone through with my ME although some people wrongly call Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, however, as Dr Shepherd has said, they are not both the same!

Anyway, I had a good winge at the Lord this morning, about having the body that I have, and looked outside of my window, to see lots of snow, I smiled, I love snow.
