DWP issues update on new cash for hundreds of thousands to help with rising energy bills

 Millions of pounds will be made available to support England's most vulnerable families as of next month. Beginning on April 1, struggling households across the country will be able to apply for extra money to help with essentials including food and energy costs. The money will be available through local authorities, and will be paid out directly.
