Today I had a Tesco delivery, they brought it to my front door, but refused to bring it into my kitchen, and didn't have the groceries, in bags, so I refused to take them out of the crate, due to my disability, in the end, the guy brought them, to my front door (I live in a house, with two flats), because he didn't have a choice in the matter, he then expected, me to take each item, and put it in the kitchen, again I refused, I made him, go down to his lorry, and get some bags, and put the groceries in the bag, which I then took to my kitchen.
I have just rung Tesco and complained about this, and that I have a disability, that means I need extra help, and said, I was assured by them, that the driver would come into my kitchen, and he only did what he did, because he didn't have a choice.
They explained the covid situation, and that drivers are told not to go into people's home, but I said, covid or not, my disability doesn't change and I still need help, and so do thousands of other disabled people all over the country, I went onto say, I won't be using your store, until covid is over, as I cannot risk this lack of customer service, she has taken it on board, and asked that it be looked into as a matter of urgency.
What I want to suggest is, if you have to use grocery shopping online, stand your ground, if you do, they don't have a choice, and if you don't get the help you need for your groceries, complain, and ask that this changes, if enough people complain to their grocery store, something might be done about it.
