Hello
The following information, is from watching Morning Live on the 4th November, you can watch it on the BBC I player.
When you wash clothes, put the spin part of your wash on the maximum number, to get the maximum water out of your clothes, it doesn't cost anymore to do that, when using the washing machine.
Wash your clothes on the lowest heat cycle to reduce cost.
When drying on a heated rack, add dry towels on top of the clothes, this creates insulation, and they dry quicker.
If you use a tumble drier, don't fill it up with wet clothes, put a few in at a time, they will dry quicker.
DE fluff your tumble drier on a regular basis, this will make them run more efficiently, and so cheaper.
When using a heated rack, have the window open at the same time.
A heat pump, is cheaper than all of these.
Never, dry your clothes on a radiator, when its on.
I hope these help.
Miriam
