I am disabled, when will I get my covid vaccination?

I have just had this come through for my local area, OK, it doesn't cover the whole of the UK,  I am on the local councils newsletter list, but it does say housebound people will have their vaccinations, brought to them in a home visit, this is happening in Reading, it may well be happening in your local area too.

I have asked my local MP, to find out how people who are housebound can get the vaccination, and as soon, as I hear, I will let you know,  but here is the general information, I hope you find it helpful.

Make sure you are registered with a GP

The best way to ensure you get offered the vaccine is to be registered with a local GP. When it is your turn, you will be invited to get a vaccine by your GP, so if you are not registered you could miss out. If you are not already, please register with a local GP on the NHS website here which will ensure when you are eligible you will be contacted to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. If you have friends or relatives who may not know this or how to go about it, please talk to them about it and help them.

How you will be contacted, and how to avoid vaccine fraud
When you're invited to have your vaccination at a larger vaccination centre or at a pharmacy, you'll get a letter. If you're invited to have your vaccination at a local centre such as a GP surgery, you'll usually get a text or email. You may sometimes get a letter. You can choose to go to a larger vaccination centre or pharmacy, or wait to be invited to go to a local NHS service. More places are opening all the time.
 
The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge on the NHS and the NHS will never ask for;

• Your bank account or card details
• Your pin or banking password
• Copies of personal document to prove your identity such as your passport, driving licence or bills
