I run the London Marathon, despite having ME/chronic fatigue syndrome.

Hello

As you know, I am part of an ME group, last weekend, one of the members of the group, rang in the London Marathon, she has all but recovered from the illness, and now works to raise money for Action4me, as they helped her, while she was sick, you can read her story here.

Last week, I told you about the lady, who helped her daughter die, it must have been a very painful thing for her to do, the latest news is here!

Finally, do you wear glasses or contact lenses, if you do this bit is for you!

Now if you have just been diagnosed with ME, then you will be covered under the new benefit rules, however, for those that are still with the old system, when you go to the opticians, and want to get your glasses/contact lenses free, you have to tick a box, to qualify for financial relief, you need to be on job seekers allowance, or on a low pay and receive tax credits, there are other categories, but none for long term sick, unless you are under the new benefits system, so what do you do? You ask for a HC1 form, this is like having an ‘other’ box, you then fill in the details, and send it off, for them to give you a refund, I am being sent one, and when I know more, I will tell you....
